Even the workaround hasn’t worked for me. I may have to do a crash course in Reaper. Is there a possibility of getting Audacity that just has the parts that work? I edit audio mostly and didn’t eralize it wouldn’t work until too late. Maybe as a lite version. Grandpa knows everything if he doesn’t know vintage shirt

Thanks gals and guys for working hard to keep Audacity awesome. One suggestion, it would nice if we were able to select features with the mouse right click, rather than going up to the menu every time. so basically toggle between options, I guess. I should be able to highlight a section of audio, right click and have the option to silence, add effect(s).. it’s also annoying that I have to keep going up, for example, to keep changing from time shift to selection tool. Make sense. this is helpful, but not exactly what I am looking for. I want to right click on the mouse and have options and commands there. Do the newest versions require Service Pack 1 for Windows 7? Something happened during a cleaning process that has prevented the ability to install SP1 in Windows 7, so I’ve had to continue using an older version of Audacity. No problem, but I’m just curious about this.
